Commission Blueprint Review

Yesterday I posted a link to a prelaunch video for the Commission Blueprint which has just lauched today. I have just purchased the system so here are my initial thoughts. First of all the price is much lower than I was expecting, but to be honest there is also a very compelling one time offer on the thankyou page where you can choose to test drive their coaching program for 7 days for $4.95 - I did take up the offer, but I won’ talk about that here. I’ll just focus on the main Commission Blueprint system.

The Commission Blueprint

Commission BlueprintThe purchase went very smoothly, as you would expect from a Clickbank product, and once logged in to the secure download area my first reaction was that there is a LOT to this system. The site is very clean and well designed, and leads you through a series of PDF files to begin with. Release notes, Opt-in page secrets, Pre-sell page secrets, and Review page secrets are a series of well written reports. Then you get into the meat of the Commission Blueprint system - the videos…

Commission Blueprint Videos

There are 14 videos totalling over three and ahalf hours of content. Obviously I’ve not had time to watch them all yet, but first impressions are that they are well produced and high quality. Each video is widescreen with a ‘talking head’ on the right and slides to the left. They are in FLV format and you can watch them online, or opt to download them. The FLV format means that an FLV player is required to view them offline, but a link to a free player is included on the doanload page. A nice touch is that the slides used to produce the videos are also available as PDF files.

The Commission blueprints videosTo accompany the videos are very well written templates for review pages, pre-sell pages, and opt-in pages. These are supplied as zip files and are well designed html files with accompanying images. No PSD source files are included, but they are not heavy on the graphics so that shouldn’t be a problem.

Finally, there are a few unadvertised bonuses including Michael Rasmussen’s MiniSiteProfts Exposed, and Email Promos Exposed which is a nice unexpected touch.

The Commission Blueprint System

I’ll be able to write more about my thoughts on the Commission Blueprint content once I’ve gone through the entir series of videos and started to put it into practice. From what I watched so far though, I’m quite impressed and eager to give this a try. The very clearly outline the entire process in the videos, broken down step by step. There is no ‘filler’ information and complete newbies might have to look elsewhere for the basics since they assume a basic knowledge of Adwords etc.

Commission blueprint systemThe system seems to revolve around the idea of applying a science to choosing the right keywords, the right products to promote, the right landing page etc. and they give a formula to follow for the entire process. If the system works anywhere near as well as it should then this is a no brainer for me. I’m quite a numerical guy anyway (some would say geeky!) so this is right my street.

So there you go, a quick look at the Commission Blueprint and what is has to offer. I can’t say much more right now until I’ve properly tested the system so check back in a few days and I’ll share my findings, but I can say this - I’m very excited about this and can’t wait to see the results!

Recession rescue system update

A couple of days ago I posted a quick review of the Recession Rescue System 3 and I just wanted to give you a quick update. I was still listening to the audios, which are the bulk of the course, when I posted the other day, and so I was only able to give my first impressions. Now I’ve gone right through the course, and looked at all the bonus materials (of which there is absolutely TONS!) so I thought it was worth posting an update.

Recession rescue system cubedWell, first of all, if you’re wondering exactly what Fellman, Casey and Knudsen teach in this course it boils down to listbuilding, promoting affiliate products, and creating your own products to continue the process. OK, so nothing new there I hear you saying, but the difference to most other courses I’ve looked at is this one is firmly aimed at beginners and intermediate level marketers (unlike loads of products which assume you already have a big list!) and focuses on what you can to today, this week, this month to earn an income… not just building a long term business.

As I mentioned in my initial RRS review post, the system is split into three parts - what you can do immediately to create an income, building up to what you can do long term. Each part flows together, so you don’t spend time doing one thing, then ditch it to do something else - it’s all related.

Big Bonus

Now here’s the really great part, which I hadn’t had time to take a proper look at the other day - the bonuses. While the main Recession Rescue System goes over all the theory, rather than reinvent the wheel, they have bundled some great resources which take care of the ‘hands on’ stuff. Now, these aren’t some low value afterthought bonuses - these are top notch products which really are worth the price of the system on their own!

I briefly mentioned the bonuses in my previous post, but I pretty much glossed over the most important (in my view) part which is the 14 Recession Rescue Fast Cash Videos . These are AWESOME! It doesn’t matter if you never made a penny online before, these videos really will take you by the hand and walk you through the process of starting an online business step by step.

I have spent a fortune on Internet Marketing products over the last year, and in a way I almost wish I hadn’t bothered - I could have just waited and bought this as I know I could build a business with no other knowledge. If you’re already well advanced with your business, are bringing in regular affiliate income each month, have your first product done, and are building a list you probably won’t learn too much from this course (although there are some gems that even intermediate to advanced marketers will find) but if you’re new to online business, and especially if you’re trying to start your list and get your first sales then you really need to buy RRS3.

Recession Rescue System 3 (Cubed) Review

When 3 of the top Internet Marketers in the world, Shawn Casey, Tellman Knudsen and Harris Fellman, put their heads together and come up with a system to build recession proof income what do you think the outcome is?

The answer is Recession Rescue System CUBED, which they just released, and I just downloaded this afternoon…

The reason I’m so excited about this product, is that I’m only half way through listening to the audios and already I’m changing my business plans for the next 2 months because I know this is going to make me a lot of money, and help my add a lot more subscribers to my list.

If you want to go check this system out go to Recession Rescue System, otherwise keep reading to see what I think so far…

Can you recession proof your income?

Of course you can, people have been doing it for eons. Certain industries have always been recession proof, the key is being in the right industry, selling the right products, and having the knowledge to make it work.

Well between them Casey, Fellman and Knudsen have a combined income of over $18 million a year, and their businesses are BOOMING even though other businesses are failing everywhere, so they must be doing something right!

The meat of this is a 5 hour call (that’s right - over 5 hours of material!) where these three masterminds discuss and teach a 3 part system to create a solid and dependable income.

Part one, what they call ‘Bullet proof vest’ is all about different industries and which ones are the safe and profitable ones no matter what is happening to the economy.

Part two, armoured tank, deals with wide profit margins and how to build a dependable income.

Finally part three, their so called ‘bomb proof shelter’, is long term strategies for building a business and the ultimate lifestyle.

Now I said at the beginning of this post that I was excited about this and here’s why… Unlike most courses I’ve bought in the past, this one gives methods for making money NOW. Not in a year, not in 6 months, but pretty much right away.

What you get is a shortcut to choosing the right niche to be in, how to build a list, how to become an affiliate for existing products in the right markets, and how to truly build a business online that won’t fall over when the economy takes a dive.

There’s quite a bit to the package - the original audio mastermind recordings (over 5 hours) with Harris Fellman, Shawn Casey and, Tellman Knudsen plus PDF transcriptions. You also get a quick start guide, ‘Making money fast’ strategies recording (25 mins) and a set of 14 videos showing how to build a recession proof business step by step.

If that wasn’t enough, as a bonus you also get access to an Exclusive teleseminar with Rich Schefren (The guy who wrote “The Internet Business Manifesto”) entitled “The 7 New Rules For Fast And Furious Profits That Most People Don’t Know About” on August 20th - it’s already marked in my diary in thick red pen! AND… they also included Harris Fellman’s Codename Catalyst home study course which he originally sold for $197. Essentially it’s a JV technique which is his secret to getting high quality partners and building a list fast - in fact it’s the techniques he used to build his own business so quickly.

So there you go, what a package. I’ll be working through the rest of the material over the next few days and starting to implement a lot of this into my own business. I’ll be sure to post back with my thoughts and findings after I get stuck in to it, but first impressions are that this will make a significant difference to my bottom line this year… and help my build my list a lot faster. If you want to check it out before the, here’s the link!

Affiliate Marketing Basics

I was browsing a few blogs yesterday and came across a nice Affiliate Marketing 101 post over at FrugalPinoy. It was a good reminder that not everyone reading this blog might know exactly what affiliate marketing is, or know how to get started so here’s a quick beginner’s guide.

What exactly is affiliate marketing?

Basically it means promoting someone else’s products or service, and getting paid for each sale you generate. There are literally thousands of products you can promote from informational products such as ebooks and membership site subscriptions, to physical products like books, DVDs or clothing. In fact, there are countless types of product and service with affiliate programs covering just about every niche imaginable… If you have a site on just about any topic, the chances are there are appropriate affiliate products you could promote.

So does that mean I need a website?

It’s not essential to have your own website, but you’ll certainly be more successful if you do. Even a blog at blogger.com or Wordpress.com would be a great start, although the control over your own hosted site would be better. If you’re just getting started I would highly recommend your own, self hosted Wordpress installation. You can set up Wordpress as a CMS, and use your site as a blog, a review site, a portal and more…

How do I find products to promote?

While lots of companies have their own affiliate programs, you might want to start with an affiliate service where you can search and manage lots of different products from one place. Here are a few starting points.

Second Tier AffiliatesTheSecondTier is a free to join affiliate program and training center run by SublimeNet. They offer a great range of Internet Marketing products and the commissions are very good. The reason I’m starting with this site however is due to their fantastic free tutorials and training. Even if you have no intention of promoting Internet Marketing products you should join just for the great free training and tools.

ClickbankClickBank is probably the most well known affiliate program for information products. They have thousands of products and you can search or browse by keyword or category. Again ClickBank is free to join, and well respected within the industry.

Commission junctionCommission Junction is like ClickBank for physical products. Since they are more costly to produce and ship than info products the commissions tend to be lower (in terms of percentage) but depending on your niche, you may well find suitable products to promote here.

How do I get paid?

Depending on the program, and the product you are promoting, you will earn a commission (probably between 5% and 75% of the sale price) whenever a customer you send to the site buys a product. You don’t need to worry about shipping, or customer service which is all handled by the seller, your commission is purely for finding the customer. You will then get paid once or twice a month any commissions you are owed by cheque or electronically (such as through Paypal). Check individual programs for specific details.

How much can I earn?

The good news is you can earn as much as you want, and are willing to work for. Top affiliates can earn many tens of thousands each month. The bad news is that won’t happen overnight (at least not unless you already have a very popular website or responsive email list). The first thing you need is traffic, or visitors to your website. As I wrote yesterday, to best way to get that is by writing lots of great content. Then you can start to promote products as an affiliate by recommending them to your visitors.

OK I want to get started - so what now?

Well first I strongly suggest that you head over to The Second Tier and go through some of their free training. There are lots of archived training calls you can download and listen to which will teach you all the basics. Then get a web presence, a site or blog, where you can start building traffic. Once you have those 2 things in place you’re well on your way to making your first sale!

The fortune is in the followup

How many times does a prospect need to see your offer before making a purchasing decision? Once? Twice? Three times? In fact, the figure for most industries is 7 times. That means if you are simply throwing up a post, an article or an advert and expecting conversions you’re leaving serious money on the table.

People buy after repeated brand exposure. That’s why companies like Coca Cola and MacDonalds still spend millions of dollars on their advertising (Coke’s annual advertising budget is reported to be $1.6 billion!) even though these brands are already well known by most of the population. It’s through repeat exposure that people associate the brand and make a decision to buy.

So what does this mean to you and your online business? Well, if you’re selling products (either your own or as an affiliate) you need to be able to expose your prospects to that product multiple times. In real terms what that means is building a list - an email mailing list of subscribers who you can send promotional emails and content to using an autoresponder.

Autoresponders

An autoresponder is a tool that allows you to build and manage a list of subscribers, and send them emails. Those emails can be sequenced (so they are sent at set intervals after the prospect subscribes - say every other day for 2 weeks) or as broadcasts where you send an email to your entire list at a specific time. What this does is allow you to expose your prospects to the same offer multiple times.

Let’s say you have a new ebook that you want to promote. You could simply write a blog post about it with a link to the sales letter - but how many people will read that and decide not to buy? With an autoresponder sequence however it’s simple to send multiple promotions. Each email you send can focus on a different benefit or feature. The first email might give an overview of the product, a few days later you might mention one or two of the key features in more details. Yet another email might mention your money back guarantee, your affiliate program or the exclusive bonuses you’re offering with the product…

What happens is that different people will have different ‘hot buttons’. Some will buy right away, some will buy once they read about feature X and others only after you describe the bonus in detail. With each exposure you’ll get a few more conversions and increase your sales.

A good autoresponder service, and the abilty to use it properly are absolute essentials in building a successful online business. I’ve tried several systems and the one I like best, and which I use now for my entire business, is Aweber. Tomorrow I’ll give an in depth review of the system and a tutorial on setting up your first autoresponder sequence.

Article Marketing - 7 tips to get it right

Writing articles is a fantastic way of generating traffic and marketing your business, but like most things there are good and bad approaches. Here are my 7 top tips to get the most out of your articles:

1. Write an author bio

This is the first vital step - to promote your site you need to write a short, catchy authors bio with a link back to your site. Tell your readers a little about you and warm them up - people are much more likely to buy from you once they know a bit about you!

2. Promote affiliate products

There’s no reason you can’t promote affiliate products in your author bio, and make commissions on all the sales you refer! Just register a domain name or use a subdomain on your existing site (rather than linking to a messy affiliate URL), and redirect it to your affiliate link. Now every time someone reads your article, clicks through and buys, you make money!

3. Content sites with adsense

You can build content sites with your articles. Google loves content sites and so do users so you’re likely to get lots of free traffic from search engines. Now you can monetize that traffic by adding Google Adsense to your pages. Of course you can also sell your own products, or promote affiliate products there too.

4. Reuse articles as blog posts

These days it’s so cheap and easy to start a blog, there really is no excuse not to. Google and the other search engines love blogs since they are packed with fresh content. Blogs tend to get a lot of traffic from search engines and are great for building a community and customer relations. Simply cut-up your articles into small chunks, rearrange them and turn them into blog posts.

5. Build an opt-in list

You must have heard it before - “The money’s in the list”. Put an opt-in form on your site/blog to collect your visitors’ names and e-mail addresses for your newsletter. Regularly e-mail your articles to your newsletter subscribers, along with promotions for your products or affiliate links. You can easily build and manage your list with the AWeber autoresponder.

6. Create your own product

Combine your articles and compile them into an e-book. With a little editing, a nice cover and a contents page you have a unique info product to sell. You can even have affiliates sell for you via Clickbank! Don’t want to create an ebook? How about reading your articles out, recording them, and selling them as a CD set or MP3 downloads! All this can be down with free software too!

7. FREE E-Books

Why would you give an e-book away for free rather than sell it? Well, it’s a great promotional tool and through the power of viral marketing you can generate a lot of extra traffic. Write promotional copy to with links to your site and affiliate links, and give the book away away. It will get downloaded and copied, advertising your products and services and generating you extra income.
